“Power Debrief”

Reach consensus on research and establish next steps on an expedited basis

Have you ever needed to reach consensus on qualitative research quickly, in order to keep a project on schedule?

What It Is: When research fieldwork is conducted on an accelerated basis, the purpose is defeated if the client has to wait several days or weeks for analysis.  Clients who need to move forward are left having to proceed without the input of the research professional.  Reilly Group offers an alternative - an accelerated, interactive discussion of research findings and consensus building called a “Power Debrief.”

How It Works: Within a day or two of completion of the fieldwork, we convene a meeting of project principals and others tasked with moving the project forward.  Following a brief presentation of research findings, we facilitate a group discussion of the interpretation of the data, and effect the development of actionable next steps.  Thus, consensus is reached and implementation can proceed, all within a highly compressed timeframe.

Benefits, Applications: The Power Debrief makes maximum use of the project team.  It is a powerful team-building tool.  As with “Fast Break,” it can shave days off a project timetable, and is essential when the schedule is tight.

Suggestions:  When the Power Debrief is combined with “Fast Break,” it sustains the energy and focus of a project team, allowing it to work to maximum effect under great time pressure.   Additionally, the Power Debrief is, in a modified form, the “left brain” component of “Ideas Left Right.”
